Sales Tax imposed on Kerosine oil and motor spirit from January 01, 2018

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) finalizes 17 percent sales tax on motor spirit from January 01, 2018. 

Sales tax at the rate of 25.5 percent ad valorem would be charged on high speed diesel oil from January 01, 2018; 6 percent on kerosene oil and 6 percent sales tax would be charged on light diesel oil from January 01, 2018.

OGRA has issued following notification in this regard for revised price vide following SRO issued on Sunday December 31, 2017:

Following is the text of SRO 1331(I)/2017 issued here on Monday: In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of subsection (2) and sub-section (6) of section 3 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, the Board is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made from January 01, 2018, in its notification # SRO 57(I)/2016, dated January29, 2016, namely:- In the aforesaid notification, for the existing table, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
